KEY ONE
Claudio Zambenedetti
I am a sound engineer, saxophonist, composer, and arranger based at
Imputlevel Recording Studio in Italy.
With a career that began in 1985, I started out as a musician and gradually expanded my work into sound engineering, combining technical expertise with musical sensitivity.

Sound engineer
Since 2005, I have been a partner and resident sound engineer at IMPUTLEVEL Recording Studio,
based in Treviso, Italy. Over the years, I have worked as an assistant engineer in various studios
across the country, gaining valuable experience that led me to specialize in
microphone techniques and applied acoustics.
In 2000, together with Michele Minniti, we designed and built the Mobile Studio a fully
equipped vehicle for live audio recording.
This project has allowed us to record numerous internationally renowned artists, including:
Billy Cobham, Steve Vai, Gino Vannelli, Stanley Jordan, Toots Thielemans, Jeff Berlin,
Danny Gottlieb, Peter Erskine, Alain Caron, Youssou N'Dour, Paco De Lucía,
as well as major names from the Italian scene such as Irene Grandi, Franco Battiato, PFM,
Vinicio Capossela, Elio and Geppy Cucciari (The Addams Family), Ron, and New Trolls.
Our studio work is closely connected with IMPUTLEVEL Live, a company active for over
30 years in the live entertainment industry. Thanks to this partnership, we have managed live
events for world-class artists such as:
Elton John, Duran Duran, Peter Gabriel, Björk, Lou Reed, Steve Vai, Simple Minds, Momix,
The Chemical Brothers, Ben Harper, Angélique Kidjo, Rage Against the Machine, Robert Plant,
Alan Parsons, The Prodigy, and many more.
I have also had the pleasure of working on studio productions with:
Buena Vista Social Club, New York Voices, Ernie Watts, Alex Sipiagin, Danny Gottlieb, Doug Wimbish,
Atma Anur, Marco Mendoza, Alan Taylor, Stan Sargeant, Larry Schneider, George Cables,
Ares Tavolazzi, Danilo Rea, Sergio Endrigo, Pierangelo Bertoli, Massimo Bubola, Annalisa,
Sabrina Salerno, Riccardo Fioravanti, Lanfranco Malaguti, Fabrizio Bosso, Dario Vergassola,
and many others.
These experiences have helped me build a deep technical and artistic understanding of
both jazz and pop music production, collaborating with bands and solo artists of all kinds —
in the studio and on stage.
You’ll find a selection of published records below, which I’ve worked on both as a
sound engineer and saxophonist.

Saxophonist
I've been playing music since 1985 and, over the years, I've been part of numerous bands,
performing in over a thousand concerts across Italy.
From the very beginning, arranging music has been one of my greatest passions.
I’ve written several original pieces for personal projects and collaborated with various bands
and independent singer-songwriters.
As a musician, I’ve specialized in genres such as Funk, Fusion, Acid Jazz, Jungle,
Drum & Bass, and Jazz, while also exploring electronic and experimental music.
I love creating something new, original, and innovative. My style blends Funk, Fusion,
and Acid Jazz, often enriched with Lounge influences to make the listening experience more
lo-fi, smooth, and fluid.
In the social media bar below, you’ll find a selection of my audio and video productions.
